1. (Proper Noun) One of the most ancient languages of the world used in India and belonged to the Indo-European family of languages. Most of the modern Indian languages originated from it. পৃথিৱীৰ সবাতোকৈ পুৰণি ভাষা বিলাকৰ মাজৰ এটা আৰু ইণ্ডো য়ুৰোপিয়ান ভাষাগোষ্ঠীৰ অন্তৰ্গত৷ প্ৰাচীন ভাৰতত ইয়াৰ প্ৰচলন আছিল৷ বৈদিক সাহিত্য এই ভাষাতে ৰচিত৷ প্ৰায়বিলাক আধুনিক ভাৰতীয় ভাষাৰ উৎপত্তি সংস্কৃতৰে পৰা হোৱা৷
