1. (Common Noun-Common) It is a widespread, adaptable species of shrew found mainly in South Asia but introduced widely throughout Asia. The habitat of this species (Suncus murinus) is normally near human settlement specifically near the house. Some also live on the ground in leaf litter and grass. বিশেষকৈ দক্ষিণ এছিয়াত বহুলভাৱে পোৱা ই এবিধ এন্দুৰ জাতীয় প্ৰাণী, কিন্তু বৰ্তমান সমগ্ৰ এছিয়াতে ই উপলব্ধ ৷ এই প্ৰজাতিৰ প্ৰাণী (চাংকাচ্ মিউৰিনাচ্) সাধাৰণতে মানুহৰ ঘৰৰ ওচৰে-পাজৰে বাস কৰে ৷ কিছুমানে মাটিত পঁচা গছ-পাতৰ মাজত অথবা ঘাঁহনিতো থাকে ৷
