খগেন: মা-দেউতাৰ ভালেই৷ কিন্তু বাইদেউৰহে বেয়া - বৰ অসুখ৷


Khogen: ma-deutar (Parent) bhalei* (fine). Baideurhe* (elder sister) beya (not well) - bor (much) oxukh (sick).


Parents are fine. But my elder sister is not well – She is very sick.


কনক: কি হৈছে?


Konok: ki (what) hoise (happen)?


What happen?


খগেন: খুব জ্বৰ৷


Khogen: khub (very) jor (fever).


She has got fever.


কনক: দৰৱ খাইছে?


Konok: dorob (medicine) khaisene (do they eating)?


Has she taken a medicine?


খগেন: ডাক্তৰ খুৰাই দৰৱ দিছে৷ খাই আছে৷


Khogen: Daktor ( doctor) dadai ( uncle) dorob dise (prescribes medicine). Khai ase (taking).


Doctor Uncle has prescribed her medicine and she is taking.


কনক: বাৰু, ভাল পাব৷ ভাইটি-ভণ্টীৰ কি খবৰ?


Konok: baru (OK ), bhal pab (get better). Bhaiti-bhontir (younger brother-younger sister) ki (what) khobor (news)?


Ok, she will be fine. How are your brother and sister doing?


খগেন: সিহঁতৰ ভাল৷
