1. (Common Noun-Neuter) Stinging catfish or airsac catfish are found mainly in ponds, ditches, swamps and marshes, but sometimes occurs in muddy rivers of Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka to Mayanmar). Can tolerate slightly brackish water. Omnivorous. Breed in confined waters during the monsoon months, but can breed in ponds, derelict ponds and ditches when sufficient rain-water accumulates. Oviparous, distinct pairing possibly like other members of the same family . In great demand due to its medicinal value. Grows up to 30 cm in length. এচিয়া মহাদেশৰ নদী, খাল, বিল আদিত পোৱা এবিধ বাকলি নথকা মাছ।

2. Fish(Common Noun-Common) Mystus vittatus is a freshwater small fish having two sharp pointed barb just behind the head. It is belonging to the catfish family. আৰি মাছৰ দৰে এবিধ সৰু মাছ ৷ ইয়াৰ ডিঙিৰ দাঁতিত দুটা শিঙৰ দৰে জোঙা কাঁইট আছে ৷ ই দেখিবলৈ বগা আৰু মুগা বৰণৰ ৷
