Often we mistake and make distinction of উ vs. ঊ or ু vs. ূ. However, in Assamese Phonetics, they actually have the same sound.

Like "s" in `sam`
The sound of ছ in Assamese is not as strong as it is in other Indian languages. So the sound almost resembles that of চ
ট, ত
Like "t" in `Tom`
They have the same sound in Assamese.

Like "th" in `theory`

Like "d" in `Dad`
